The thing about creativity...

I was - as usual - deep in thought this morning when I realise that creativity really is unique in its entirety.

You see... the thing about creativity is that it can mean everything

and nothing

and something... all at once.

either way, creativity still matters.

Not what you choose to do with it,

but the fact that you do it.

As the doors open to The Imagination Collective, my creative community, I really wanted to share some thoughts with you.

This community exists because of my personal experience navigating a series of difficult life moments - and how I chose to lean on creativity through it.

In those moments, I wasn't using creativity to form a masterpiece. It was simply about getting through the day.

In those same moments, I suppose, it didn't really mean anything tangible. But it meant something to me, because it gave me hope and renewed purpose that wasn't dependent on how productive I could be.

Therefore, it meant everything.

It's those times of my life that really shaped my relationship to creativity and motivate me to keep playing, keep being curious, and keep creating just because. I'm creative just by existing, I don't need a reason to engage with it.

I created The Imagination Collective to bring this to people who could really use it and benefit from it in their lives. And yes friend, that's everyone.

The Imagination Collective is a postal & online community focused on slowing down and meeting creativity wherever you're at. No expectations, just gentle invitations.

You can expect:

• Themed monthly snail mail (postal and non postal memberships available!) Your first mail includes a sketchbook and stamped pencil

• Weekly inspiration prompts. Not challenges, but invitations to explore.

• Our live Open studio session where we create in community - attendance, cameras and microphones totally optional. Once a month, we meet, but if you can't make it I create a video too.

• Encouraging notes on creativity and suggestions to further explore this

• Additional creative prompts and art-is-everywhere threads
